jazZ Happens! is one of those live music places in Bangkok that any serious jazz lover, and music lover in general, must visit at least once! This small and cosy hole-in-the-wall bar on Pra-Artit Road has been gathering jazz students and professional musicians for over a decade!

Established by a group of jazz professors from Silpakorn University as a place for jazz students to hone their craft, this year, Jazz Happens! is celebrating its 12th anniversary with a jazz bang: a nine-day festival that will host numerous bands (The Pomelo Town, Por-North Gate,  Goten Cruize, Vee-Orleans, InDeedweNeed, Supergoods, Sunny Trio & Natt Buntita, Banglumpoo Blues Company, Superglasses Ska Ensemble, to name a few) from Thailand and several international guests, like American jazz guitarist Randy Johnston, and Brazilian bassist Rubem Farias, and Malesyian singer-songwriter Joe Balanjiu Jr. You will have the opportunity to hear a range of jazz styles from a capella to jazz fusion, but also other music genres like  blues, funk, r’n’b, soul, ska, pop and more.

The festival starts on October 26 and closes on November 3, with the total of 31 events on three floors, starting from 20:00 till 00:00 every night (each night will have 4 performances, except 2 Nov)

Ticket price starts from ฿150 for a single show (includes 1 drink), but you can also buy early bird tickets until 25 October, with a special offer to buy the whole festival package (all 9 days) and get 20% discount and privileges upon every visit to jazZ happens! all through the year 2020.
