As one of the most prolific drummers in Bangkok, Didi has been collaborated with a multitude of local and international musicians and band, such as Saranac, LoveUSoul, Bkk Jazz Trio, Medicine Mixers and African his own African Ride by Didier Mpondo, and many more.
He started playing drums when he was 14, in Cameroon, immediately knowing he found his destiny. After music schools in France and Hong Kong, and becoming the teacher himself, he came to Thailand four years ago and since then has become one of Bangkok most beloved musicians. Although primarily a jazz drummer, Didi equally rules other musical styles with his powerful yet smooth rhythms. With his African Ride he introduces the spirit of African music through the prism of fusion jazz, truly a special ride for both musicians and the audience. His positive energy is contagious and always creates a supreme musical experience.

“People love this music cus they have never listen to it, a typical African music, which I pick some music from African musicians, I arrange it to suit the musicians I play with here, as they are not from Africa and they could never feel it the way I do, so I make a different arrangement and turn it into a fusion jazz but with the spirit of African music. That’s why this project is very special.”
