If their was one genre missing in Bangkok’s live music huge repertoire it was soul, R & B, Motherfunky fills that slot. The entire band is super talented, and in sync with the high quality of musicians on the Bangkok gig circuit. The icing on the cake is Warren Fryar whose silky, raspy voice captures some of the most difficult soul singers of their times, like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, James Brown…….And the cherry is when he breaks out into the soulful notes on his trumpet, in between his singing.
