About
Hoo Blues is a band with a strong blues expression and sound grounded in american roots music with harmonica, as well as swing blues, jump blues and Chicago Blues. Led by Peaw, who has mastered his voice and harmonica style in The Vintagers, these guys are the representatives of a new generation of genuine Thai blues musicians with a very promising future.
Peaw

“Playing blues is not only about music, it’s about communication between the musicians and the audience…”

Peaw (Phakavarat Pinpangnga), harmonica

Peaw, a graduate of Jazz Studies at the Faculty of Music of Silpakorn University, inherited his love for music from his dad, who would play jazz and blues to him when he was a boy. He learned to play the guitar in high school, but the first time he heard Little Walter of Muddy Waters‘ band, he fell in love with the harmonica. He learned it with a help of Daddy C (& Bangkok Mojo). He joined The Vintagers in 2016, before which he played the guitar in his own jazz band for three years, but soon realized he loved the blues more. He liked the sound of Banglampoo Blues Band so he started coming to AdHere 13th Blues Bar to jam with the bands that played there—including the Vintagers. Soon after he formed his own band – Hoo Bloos.
