Tammi’s Kitchen – Korean Comfort Food

The other day we went to check out our friends’ newly opened restaurant, Tami’s Kitchen. Tami is a dancer from Korea that found her destiny in the arms of Neung, a handsome blues bass player, and well, the rest is history…

During the last lockdown, Tami started to make traditional Korean kimchi that was just out of this world (I’m so hooked, it has to be stocked always in our fridge), and soon following the success they had with this flavorful goodness, they decided to open this Korean-Thai restaurant in a small soi close to Bearing BTS.

As it turned out, the day we decided to visit them, a few of our common friends from the legendary AdHere 13th Blues Bar happened to be there too, and after the realization that we had actually never met in the daylight before, we all went on to taste the yummy food of our hosts. And boy it was yummy! The Korean style stew I ordered was delicious, homey and proper comfort food.

After our tummies got full of Tami’s delicious food, I gave her a pair of Bangkok Blonde earrings as a thank you and for good luck! Naturally, we had to take some pictures, and soon everybody joined in. My favourite is the photo with one of the most vivid characters of AdHere Blues Bar – Piak Rockabilly, don’t you think we look like we just came out of a Guy Richie’s movie! He’s such a “bad influence”! 😉
